Sun City Wildlife

We like our location a lot.  Our development is on the outskirts of Georgetown and very rural along the edges. While we have close neighbors on both sides, there is no house across the street or behind.  We back on to a couple of hundred yard strip that is kept in its natural state. On the other side of that is the 11th hole of the new golf course. Across the street we can see hole number three of the second golf course.

Sun City has kept a lot of areas "native" and we have a lot of wildlife. Deer are so plentiful that we have to remove 100-200 every year. Some of them go to ranches and some are "processed" and the meat given to local shelters. In addition to deer we have coyotes, turkey, armadillos, fox, and skunk--and rattlesnakes. Fortunately we don't see many of these critters except for deer and turkey. Here are some pictures I took from our patio. We have deer and turkey feeding in our back yard almost every night. The turkey come right up to the house, but the deer are a little more skittish.
